CRH Canada is looking for a Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist with a passion for positive business impact!
As a subject matter expert within recruitment, you will act as a highly effective partner to the different business lines across CRH Canada and CRH Americas Materials, mainly within Ontario. Using a consultative approach along with influencing skills, you will provide solutions that enable the hiring of the right talent within salaried, hourly and seasonal type roles for functions such as Finance, Engineering & Skilled Trades.
Externally, you will excel at talent identification and attraction, sourcing/networking, skills/fit assessment and delivering a consistently positive candidate experience. Our candidates are our customers! Internally, the role is that of consultant to the business, validating positional requirements against market availability, recommending and utilizing creative sourcing channels to build a diverse pipeline of candidates and overall assuring that we hire top talent who are excited to work for CRH Canada and its subsidiaries.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop consultative partnerships with hiring managers and HR Managers to understand the business and their hiring needs, while ensuring to set the direction of the recruitment strategy in order to meet hiring requests.
  • Perform full-life cycle recruiting, including intake requirements, posting strategy, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and shortlisting of qualified talent, owning the hiring process throughout every step.
  • Review and update job postings with top-tier talent attraction in mind.
  • Define and implement active/passive talent attraction strategies for assigned roles, adjusting as required throughout recruitment process.
  • Maximize sourcing channels, networks, diversity channels, social media, university relations, career fairs, etc. to attract top talent.
  • Identify and communicate gaps in the talent demand/supply and actively work with stakeholders to bridge the gaps.
  • Maximize utilization of market research techniques to enable more effective and efficient hiring.
  • Evaluate and share the results of your own productivity and effectiveness through regular distribution of defined performance metrics.
  • Maintain open, real-time communication, internally and externally, ensuring best-in-class candidate/manager experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Act as a Company champion continuously providing feedback and assisting with process improvement implementation.
  • Travel to sites within the Greater GTA region to support recruitment related activities for assigned business unit(s).
  • Participate, collaborate and support cross-functional HR related projects as required.

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience within a full-cycle recruitment role, supporting both hourly & salaried hiring.
  • Post-Secondary degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Experience in talent networking and direct recruitment utilizing various social media tools including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Ability to develop, maintain and communicate appropriate metrics, interpret trends, and adjust strategies as needed in response to changing market conditions and/or role requirements.
  • Customer focused, adaptable, with superb ownership skills.
  • Well organized with the ability to consistently prioritize and a proven track-record of success.
  • Innovative & creative mindset for suggesting ideas that improve talent pool sources.
  • Results oriented, highly motivated and energetic with a proven track record of success and passion to find the best talent.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with experience in partnering effectively with stakeholders and guiding conversations.
  • Excellent computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, with previous experience utilizing ATS & HRIS.
  • Previous RPO experience considered an asset.

Home Office:
40% (2 days per week)
Local Travel: 60% (3 days per week Concord Head Office / Greater GTA plant locations as needed supporting interviews)
