Some of what you will do
The Sr. Sourcing / Procurement Specialist is responsible for creating and fostering working relationships with BU leaders in Canada to increase awareness and adoption of the Sourcing Process. This role will use financial data/contract terms and BU input to create the necessary sourcing strategies (RFP/I) and oversee execution of said processes up to and including contract creation and documentation of project outcomes. The goal of this role is to drive awareness, adoption and cost reduction.

Specifically, you will:

  • Complete a minimum of 20 projects per year
  • Be a positive extension of FS while integrating into the Canadian business and taking the time to understand project requirements
  • Proactively translates, organize, plan and coordinate all elements of the sourcing process
  • Together with leadership, determine strategic and tactical plans for commodity and service procurement. Conduct spend analysis, vendor contract analysis and other diagnostics to develop an annual sourcing and savings plan.
  • Responsible to delegate the metrics and KPIs to complete the analysis necessary to evaluate and recommend the most cost-effective procurement solutions, including collaborating with Finance and Senior Management teams to review lease Vs buy options.
  • Serve as liaison between BU and Bidders, developing solutions to business problems, issues and opportunities and develop long and short-range strategies to maximize performance. \xc2\xa8 Lead business line project teams, provide guidance, support and direction from project kickoff to completion.
  • Keep abreast of industry, markets, services and commodities to ensure sourcing.
Qualifications

Some of what you need
  • Post Secondary degree, sourcing certification,
  • 3-5 years business experience, in the sourcing field and a minimum of 2 - 3 years in project management.
  • Experience in developing Indirect Materials sourcing strategies, conducting a rigorous sourcing and supplier selection process and contracting. Specific category expertise in one of Marketing, Professional Services, IT, Facilities, Supply Chain or Transportation sourcing.
  • Working knowledge of source-to-pay systems
  • Ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies, including creating and analyze RFI\xe2\x80\x99s and RFP\xe2\x80\x99s and conducting supplier negotiations, in multiple of the following areas: technology, marketing, facilities, supply chain, professional services and general sourcing categories.
  • Proven contract and negotiation skills, utilizing sourcing techniques including the Internet, automation tools, negotiation strategy development and implementation, baseline development, profiling supplier markets, etc. to maximize sourcing and process improvement effectiveness.
  • Project oriented, the ability to initiate actions and direct activities of others effectively and efficiently. Excellent oral and written communications skills and effective in a team-oriented cross functional and fast paced structure.
  • Strong Computer skills and development of effective presentations using Microsoft Power Point or similar programs.
  • Incumbent must possess consultative skills and have significant experience in developing strategies and deliverables.
  • Must be flexible and work independently.
