Position Summary:
The Senior Developer, ServiceNow is responsible for leading the design, development, configuration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform and its integrations, with a strong emphasis on modules such as Field Service Management (FSM), Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Service Operations Management (SOM), Integrated Risk Management (IRM), and Customer Service Management (CSM).
This role will provide expert-level support for these key modules, while also collaborating with process owners to deliver innovative solutions and enhancements. The Senior Developer will act as a technical leader, providing guidance and mentorship to other developers and ensuring the platform's continuous improvement and optimal performance across these critical business areas.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Development
Lead the design, development, configuration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform and its integrations.
Collaborate with process owners to deliver innovative solutions and enhancements.
Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate the rollout of new applications and modules.
Provide design solutions and timelines for development.
Develop and maintain design documents.
Maintain enhancement release plans.
Integration
Address problems of systems integration with multiple platforms
Develop and implement new integrations with external applications and platforms
Work with multiple IT support and development teams
Technical Advice and Guidance
Act as a technical leader, providing guidance and mentorship to other developers
Conduct code reviews for the application development team
Coach and mentor third-party developers
Provide training to IT staff and team members on the functionality of ServiceNow
Provide demos and perform proof of concepts on new functionality
Perform estimations for application development initiatives
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum:
+ Post-secondary degree
+ 5+ years' experience with ServiceNow implementations, integrations, and enhancements
+ 5+ years' experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML, Jelly Scripting
+ Hands-on experience with LDAP, ADFS, IAM integrations with ServiceNow
+ Experience with Service Oriented architecture and web services integration (SOAP, WSDL, REST, API's)
+ Experience creating ServiceNow update sets, promoting and testing through multiple instances and into production
+ Ability to adapt to new technologies and evolving customer requirements
+ Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
+ Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment
Preferred:
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related area.
+ 7+ years' experience with ServiceNow implementations, integrations, and enhancements
+ 7+ years' experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML, Jelly Scripting
+ Experience in working on ServiceNow Development using Agile/Scrum methodology
Experience in the new ServiceNow scoped applications, Virtual agent, Performance Analytics, ATF, Predictive Intelligence, Agent Workspace, Mobile app etc.
