Position: Sr. SAP FICO Functional Consultant (Loans Module) to provide production support for a financial services client

Duration: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Hybrid (Toronto) or REMOTE Calgary (must be able to work EST hours)

Must haves:

• 10+ yrs exp as a SAP FICO Functional Consultant within the financial industry (defect management, postproduction support)
• 5+ yrs exp with SAP Loans Management Module

Nice to haves:

• SAP FICO Certification
• SAP Bank Analyzer

Purpose of Role:

The Senior SAP Functional Consultant is a key liaison between the Business Analyst and application development. The role is responsible for determining SAP design and configuration solutions that translate business needs into development requirements. This individual will be responsible for requirements planning and management; elicit, analyze, and validate requirements for new or existing process, policies, and information systems. Understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals on time and within budget. Provides technical support to business users and other IT teams as required.

Position Responsibilities

• Work on production support to ensure current SAP production environment is working to support business needs, including month, quarter, and yearend financial reporting.
• Work with Business Analysts and Developers to assess current technical capabilities, propose technical solutions for business requirements, and translate them into technical requirements.
• Work closely with the BA team in developing the test strategy (UAT)
• Unit Testing and supporting the testing teams in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results.
• Adhere to existing processes including the system development life cycle & project management methodology, architecture.
• Contribute to project plans by participating in scoping and estimating of proposed projects.
• Communicate project status, provide timely escalation of issues to the Project managers.
• Work with internal teams to identify business issues and/or enhancements.
• Provide highly innovative solutions that drive process improvements with available hardware, software, databases, and peripherals.
• Work with BA Team to facilitate business requirements gathering process (SAP blueprinting)
• Work with other Functional leads to understand cross functional solutions and impact on Projects and support.
