Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategy for growing sales of residential energy products and partnerships to the next level. You will work both individually, and with the broader sales team to prospect, qualify, develop, and close new sales channels to deliver on the vision of Aecon Green Home Energy business to be the leader in-home energy services across Ontario. Main focus will be on residential HVAC products but will include growing business in EV, solar and geothermal.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Responsible for sales plan achievement through operations in existing service territories and by growing business into new areas
  • Establishing and monitoring individual and team sales targets
  • Overseeing activities and performance of the sales team
  • Manage the day-to-day high volume activities of a sales team selling residential energy products - HVAC, solar and geothermal and deliver on sales goal
  • Responsible for top-line growth of revenue as well as meeting growth objectives around gross margin
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasting of sales and the corresponding allocation of sales support resources
  • Increase market penetration in local business by securing new customers and expanding the scope of the existing customer base with owner, consulting engineers, general contractor, mechanical contractors and electrical contractors.
  • Facilitate training and ensure support resources are in place to develop salespersons capable of selling the full scope of bundled offerings available.
What You Bring to the Team:
  • Possess a Business degree or equivalent work experience
  • Achieved 5 years of successful sales leadership experience and delivering on sales targets
  • Industry knowledge and/or experience working within HVAC industry is an asset
  • Results-driven individual who takes initiative and accountability to continuously improve business outcomes
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to influence without authority
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic critical thinker and problem-solver who demonstrates agility in the face of change
