What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Director, Digital Product Delivery , the Sr. Product Owner plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing CIBC\xe2\x80\x99s public websites. This role is focused on the planning and execution of initiatives that expand and enhance the features, functionality, and experiences on CIBC\xe2\x80\x99s websites. As a Senior Product Owner, you are accountable for establishing a product vision, delivering product iterations that satisfy client needs, maximizing business value, understanding the needs of various stakeholders, and ensuring the product team understands and is aligned to the vision and path of delivering the product. You will work in a fast-paced environment with Project Managers, Designers, Analysts, Consultants, Writers, Developers, Vendors, and Leadership for the delivery of medium and large-scale projects. You will have a high level of interaction with Technology, business partners, and the management of internal and external groups.
How You\xe2\x80\x99ll Succeed
Project Management \xe2\x80\x93 Lead and manage multiple projects, ensuring deliverables meet expectations.
Initiate the project by outlining cost, resource, and time estimates
Maintain a prioritized backlog and develop a product vision that satisfies business needs and provides the best client experience
Prepare project plans to manage the timely delivery of Business Requirements, Use Cases, Design, Content, Marketing, Training, and other business deliverables
Actively contribute to project backlog prioritization as well as realign and balance projects within the portfolio.
Constantly monitor processes and practices used by the team and provide guidance to continuously improve project execution and ensure teams are operating at optimal capacity
Relationship Management \xe2\x80\x93 Ensure open information flows among stakeholders and resolve issues, provide mitigation actions, as well as timely and accurate tracking of project issues.
Work with both internal and external stakeholders to communicate project objectives and manage client expectations
Work closely with Technology partners to ensure technology deliverables meet business needs
Business Acumen - Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of CIBC\xe2\x80\x99s websites, web content management and digital channels within the financial services industry
Monitor industry best practices on a continuous basis, assessing the impact and ensuring relevant advancements are reflected in strategy and plans.
Leading and Mentoring \xe2\x80\x93 Support end-to-end project delivery as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to a diverse team of Designers, Developers, Writers and Analysts
