Ericsson is hiring a People Business Partner specializing in industry relations and Canadian Employment Law to join the People team for Hosted Units North America. This impactful role will focus on advising on union-related matters, employment law compliance across Canadian provinces, and performing core responsibilities of a People Business Partner.

What you will do:



Build strong consultative partnerships with leadership teams by offering credible advice, metrics, and development that improve organizational effectiveness. Implement Ericsson People programs such as Total Reward, Talent and Development and People Planning into relevant business units. Support leaders in creating inclusive environments that foster performance development, diversity, and career growth. Drive initiatives that encourage talent retention, fostering professional growth aligned with business objectives. Leverage expertise in Canadian employment laws and regulations for policy creation and implementation. Guide and implement People strategies for complex initiatives such as restructuring, organizational transformation, and mergers and acquisitions Lead cultural transformation by influencing new ways of working and embedding change that supports the business strategy and future growth. Advice on local matters related to unions and employment law, including compliance with labor policies, collective bargaining agreements, employment equity programs and employee rights specific to each province. Design strategies and internal guidelines for engaging with unions and managing employment-related risks. Proactively assess and mitigate risks related to union activities and legislative changes, aligning resolutions with both corporate and regulatory frameworks.

The skills you bring:



Bachelor's degree in human resources, Labor Law, or a related field (master's degree preferred). 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including union relations and employment legislation compliance. Relevant experience with Canadian employment laws, collective bargaining agreements, and regulatory frameworks. Proven ability to advise on complex employee relations issues and execute key strategic HR initiatives. Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills. Demonstrated ability to drive culture change, diversity, and inclusion programs. Experience collaborating cross-functionally in a matrixed organizational setting. Project management proficiency with a track record in delivering HR solutions and initiatives. Fluency in English (French proficiency is preferred). Demonstrates proficiency in understanding artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and tools, including generative AI applications, to harness their potential for optimizing business processes, enabling innovation, and mitigating associated risks. Flexibility to travel 10% to 20% of time.

Your Pay

The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.



Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of the Deluxe medical and dental plan coverages for themselves and eligible covered dependents.



Your Financial Security

We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson's Group Retirement & Savings Program offers an automatic 2% company contribution into the Pension Plan. Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee's contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee's contribution (maximum of 4% match). This leads to a total company contribution potential of 6%. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson's Stock Purchase Plan.



Your Time

Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, 3-5 personal days (depending on role), 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 10 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
