What you'll do

The Senior Manager, Cloud Infrastructure Architecture is responsible for leading a team of senior technical professionals and/or people leaders, guiding the design and implementation of technical strategies to ensure Moneris has robust, scalable, secure, and compliant Hybrid Cloud infrastructure that supports its business.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Engineering and Operations, Security, Development, and Business units' teams to execute on large-scale projects, create frameworks and solutions designs, set standards & processes.

• Lead team of senior professionals through hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands-on career development
• Accountable for team results, set priorities and resource allocations to align with business plan objectives
• Establish and govern architecture patterns, frameworks, and strategic target state architectures
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture to ensure that standard practices and Enterprise level design targets are encoded in delivery portfolio managed by other architects assigned to their portfolio
• Provide input to project sponsors on project plans, financial estimates, resourcing estimates and business cases
• Advocate and advance modern, agile infrastructure management practices and "Cloud first" strategy to driver change across development and infrastructure teams
• Establish and maintain technology standards, processes and policies related to Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure
• Provide support for escalated, complex incidents and problems from engineering and operations teams that impact Moneris and our merchants' critical workflows

What you bring (Must-have...)

• Proven managerial experience in leading cloud, infrastructure architecture and/or engineering teams
• Recognized technical expert in Hybrid Cloud domain
• Demonstrated ability of establishing and maintaining metrics-base process improvements
• Demonstrated ability of setting standards and operating strategy using depth of experience and expertise
• Working knowledge of cloud-native technologies and paradigms (containers, microservices, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, GitOps)
• Practical experience implementing and managing VMWare, Nutanix HCI and Microsoft Azure based solutions
• Experience implementing and managing Software Defined Networks, including Cisco, F5 and Palo Alto based solutions
• Experience working in cross-functional teams using Agile methodology, including SCRUM and KANBAN
• Strong inter-personal, communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work, influence and make an impact in a cross-functional environment
• Bachelor's degree in Software development or Computer engineering required, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of practical hands-on technical experience combined with strong management skills
