Senior Manufacturing Test Technologist

The Sr. Manufacturing Technologist is responsible for successfully troubleshooting electronic assemblies and systems from production fallout and customer returns. They will work with the manufacturing test development team to learn new products and support the production cells. The Sr. Manufacturing Technologist will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of products and technologies within their work area or across various functional groups.

What the job is all about:



This role requires a highly experienced electronic professional with over a decade of expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and improving complex electronic systems and PCB assemblies. Demonstrated ability to resolve advanced technical issues, mentor junior staff, and inspire continuous improvement in manufacturing and test processes.



Key Responsibilities:



Troubleshoot and recover failed products from production and customer returns. Perform root cause research and generate quality improvement reports. Develop and mentor junior technicians, sharing best practices and technical knowledge. Collaborate with engineering, test development, and production teams to streamline processes and support new product integration. Develop and maintain troubleshooting documentation and test infrastructure. Guide and inspire efficiency through workflow analysis and process optimization. Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects.

Who you are:

Technical Expertise:



Advanced knowledge of digital electronics (CPU, FPGA, flash memory), schematic interpretation, and JTAG technologies. (IEEE 1149.1, 1149.6). Demonstrated advanced skill in using test equipment (oscilloscopes, analyzers, DVMs) and scripting languages (Python, C/C++, TCL). Proficient in Linux, Windows, and network/serial configurations. Familiar with video/audio standards and broadcasting technologies. Possess an electronic technician/technologist diploma and/or completed a multi-year program in electronics. Minimum 10 years of electronic troubleshooting experience on complex printed circuit board assemblies. Solid understanding of the electronic manufacturing processes and various test and debug methodologies.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:



Operates in a manufacturing setting with moderate noise. Occasionally handles equipment setup involving lifting up to 50 lbs.
