Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Sr Manager - Service Sales and Operations to lead a high performing team within the Montreal, Quebec operating territory (OT).
The Sr Manager - Service Sales and Operations, is managing all sales and operations processes, providing direction for continuous improvement initiatives, and meeting or exceeding the operating territory's (OT) business objectives. You will lead the service sales and operations colleague activities related to building and maintaining current customer loyalty and expanding the existing portfolio. You will be responsible for day-to-day management of field staff, employee selection, field training, and safety. This individual will also lead operations efforts and priorities to ensure superior customer satisfaction in Montreal, QC operating territory in direct reporting partnership with the General Manager.
On a typical day you will:Partner with and support the General Manager in all areas of service sales and operations to develop and implement the operating territory service sales and operations business plan for both financial and non-financial objectives
Lead the performance of field operations for all service/maintenance projects and service sales while maintaining project schedules and ensure deadlines are met
Set expectations for Field Technician engagement and provide Superintendents with the support necessary to provide ongoing training and performance management essential to productivity and quality improvement and ensuring the active participation of all mechanics in performance reviews
Expand customer portfolio and unit count while providing best in class partnership and support leading to the growth of business and increasing continued customer loyalty in service and repair
Develop action plans to address deficiencies regarding safety, callback rates, and technical support
Generate field leads and assist service sales representatives in selling upgrades and repairs
Develop a keen sense for key prospective customers within the OT and manage all accounts regarding any at risk or cancellations while increasing customer loyalty
Recommend and detail changes in maintenance service documentation, methods, process, design, and delivery
Set budgets for material and labor within Otis guidelines and complete the required maintenance and repair within those budgets
Conduct field education training ensuring that we create and maintain a safe working environment
Perform field safety audits, jobsite inspections, and develop site safety/logistics plans Ensure coordination of personnel and product safety responsibilities including driving personnel safety training and process adherence and the execution of proper technical training and equipment testing
Coordinate all material deliveries and issuing purchase orders
Engage in pro-active labor relations with local business agents with the support of Otis' Labor Relations team
Responsible for the hire and onboarding of new team members
Interface with Product Line experts on operational challenges, including but not limited to product issues, safety concerns, parts fulfillment
Lead the resolution of all customer issues within your OT as the key point of escalation including collection efforts and contractual disputes
Coach, mentor, and develop your team of Sales and Operations through aligned and clear sales goals and continued performance directly tied to targets and sales KPIs
What you will need to be successfulMultiple years of experience in various assignments within the Company, in the Elevator industry, or in another service-oriented business.
5+ years business to business sales experience
5+ years people leadership experience in the elevator industry, or related industry
Proven experience understanding financial statements, commercial contracts, and overall product knowledge and application
Strong desire for candidates who have a proven track record of meeting financial goals and objectives
Bachelor's degree highly desired, with 5 years of experience
High school, or equivalent, plus 10 years of relevant experience
Possess overall knowledge of product and product application; service techniques and procedures; ability to understand financial statements; legal awareness to contract terms and conditions.

Principales responsabilitesCollaborer et soutenir la direction generale dans tous les domaines lies a la vente et aux activites de service afin d'elaborer et de mettre en oeuvre le plan d'affaires relatif a la vente et aux activites de service du territoire d'exploitation, tant sur le plan financier que non financier.
Assurer la direction et l'optimisation des activites en clientele pour tous les projets de service/d'entretien et les ventes de services tout en respectant les calendriers des projets et en veillant au respect des delais.
Definir les attentes en matiere d'engagement des mecaniciens en clientele et fournir aux contremaitres en chef le soutien necessaire pour assurer la formation continue et la gestion du rendement indispensables a l'amelioration de la productivite et de la qualite, et garantir la participation active de tous les mecaniciens aux evaluations du rendement.
Elargir le portefeuille de clients et le nombre d'appareils tout en offrant un partenariat et un soutien de premier ordre, favorisant ainsi la croissance de l'entreprise et renforcant la fidelite continue des clients en matiere de service et de reparation.
Elaborer des plans d'action pour remedier aux lacunes relatives a la securite, aux taux d'intervention et au soutien technique.
Generer des pistes commerciales en clientele et aider les representants commerciaux a vendre des mises a niveau et des reparations.
Developper un sens aigu pour identifier les clients potentiels cles au sein du territoire d'exploitation et gerer tous les comptes presentant un risque ou susceptibles d'etre resilies, tout en renforcant la fidelite des clients.
Recommander et detailler les modifications a apporter a la documentation, aux methodes, aux processus, a la conception et a la prestation des services d'entretien.
Fixer les budgets pour le materiel et la main-d'oeuvre conformement aux directives d'Otis et effectuer les travaux d'entretien et de reparation requis dans les limites de ces budgets.
Organiser des formations pratiques afin de garantir la creation et le maintien d'un environnement de travail sur.
Realiser des controles de securite en clientele, des inspections de chantier et elaborer des plans de securite/logistique pour les lieux de travail.
Assurer la coordination des responsabilites en matiere de securite du personnel et des produits, notamment en organisant des formations sur la securite du personnel, en veillant au respect des processus et en mettant en oeuvre des formations techniques et des essais d'equipement appropries.
Coordonner toutes les livraisons de materiel et emettre les bons de commande.
Entretenir des relations de travail proactives avec les agents commerciaux locaux avec le soutien de l'equipe des relations de travail d'Otis.
Veiller au recrutement et a l'integration des nouveaux membres de l'equipe.
Collaborer avec les experts de la gamme de produits sur les defis operationnels, y compris, entre autres, les problemes lies aux produits, les questions de securite et la fourniture de pieces detachees.
Gerer la resolution de tous les problemes des clients au sein de votre territoire d'exploitation en tant que principal point de contact, y compris les efforts de recouvrement et les litiges contractuels.
Encadrer, guider et developper votre equipe commerciale et operationnelle grace a des objectifs commerciaux clairs et coherents et des resultats continus directement lies aux objectifs et aux indicateurs cles de rendement commerciaux.

Etre en mesure de comprendre des etats financiers, des contrats commerciaux et avoir une connaissance globale des produits et de leurs applications.
Avoir un historique de reussite dans l'atteinte des objectifs financiers.
Detenir un diplome universitaire combine a 5 ans d'experience (fortement souhaite).
Detenir un diplome d'etudes secondaires ou l'equivalent combine a 10 ans d'experience pertinente.
Posseder une connaissance globale des produits et de leurs applications et des techniques et procedures de service. Etre capable de comprendre les etats financiers et avoir des connaissances juridiques sur les conditions contractuelles.
Posseder d'excellentes dispositions a communiquer en francais et en anglais, tant a l'oral qu'a l'ecrit. (Toutes les interactions avec le client se derouleront en francais. La connaissance de la langue anglaise est demandee puisque le poste necessite de transiger avec les membres de la haute direction. Cela represente environ 40 % du temps de travail)
