The next step is to build out our digital ecosystem and expand our TimCard offering to include next-generation financial tools and products. Our goal is to double the number of guests using our app every month. We're quickly growing the team and need a Senior Manager, Operational Risk Management in our Toronto office. You will be supporting the financial services business unit in the implementation and execution of an effective risk governance and management program, managing and overseeing operational risk mitigation activities.

What you'll do:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops, maintains, and leads execution of operational risk management (ORM) methodologies, including risk and control self-assessments (RCA/RCSAs) for financial services.
  • Develops and maintains the business continuity and disruption recovery plan for financial services.
  • Continually monitors and analyzes risks exposures/scenarios, root causes, and impacts (operational losses) to proactively identify gaps/issues, support remediation/corrective action plans.
  • Review/test the financial services control environment on a risk-based approach.
  • Leads the planning and execution of the change management process, including new initiative risk assessments (NIRAs) and identifying opportunities for creating efficiencies within ORM processes.
  • Consolidate and provide management reporting on assessment activities, risk event/loss data, and key risk indicators (KRIs).
  • Collaborate and align processes with related enterprise and financial services functions such as financial services operations, information security, information technology, project management, and third-party risk management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the enterprise and with third party partners to build on and improve the identification, measurement, monitoring, and control of risks for financial services.
  • Support and execute ad hoc requests as assigned.
What you'll bring:

REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in risk management, operations, finance and/or audit experience.
  • Thorough understanding of ORM concepts and practices (RCA/RCSAs, NIRAs, operational risk taxonomy, scenario analyses).
  • Strong working knowledge of change management processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of retail financial services operations.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration.
  • Highly organized with ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships to drive results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to synthesize and articulate complex information from various sources.
