Overview

Are you passionate about influencing organizational strategy while having an enterprise view and interacting with several different areas of the business? We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Office of Strategy Management to oversee, manage, and lead the office of strategy management (OSM) team and provide confidential advice and guidance to the Enterprise Leadership Team (ELT) on enterprise priorities, corporate programs and strategic initiatives.

In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll lead the department in cross-divisional initiatives, building relationships and partnership with key stakeholders in enterprise planning. This role is instrumental in providing oversight and guidance in strategic planning, project management and management consulting practices, , and the development and visualization of business measures. In addition, the role provides direct support to the Head of Executive Operations.

This is a temporary role for 18 months.

Where you\xe2\x80\x99ll work

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.

In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work primarily from your B.C. home and occasionally in our Richmond office.

What you\'ll do

  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of managers, senior advisors and analysts
  • Lead and manage senior level business planning projects, strategic planning, and business transformations across the organization
  • Partner with Heads of Divisions to align ELT and Board of Directors\xe2\x80\x99 strategic priorities and measures with divisional strategic results
  • Lead the strategic and business planning and decision making regarding OSM departmental initiatives and projects, participate in the formulation of plans, priorities and objectives and in the implementation of plans and initiatives
  • Research, analyze, prepare and present detailed written reports and presentations on operational and strategic issues
  • Consult with internal and external stakeholders and provide expert mediation and facilitation for key stakeholder group discussions
Is this a good fit for you?
  • A Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in one or more related disciplines (i.e. Strategic Management, Business Administration, Public Administration)
  • A minimum of 10 years of related experience is strategic planning, data analysis, business analysis and management consulting
  • Demonstrated success as an effective leader with the ability to build positive and productive relationships and gain credibility to effectively lead cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization
  • Well developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to visualize and present information, influence others, build consensus and work collaboratively
