Location: Work is what you do, not where you go. For this role, we are open to remote work and can hire anywhere in North America.

About the opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Development Manager, you will be expected to provide guidance to direct reports (comprised of software developers, QA analysts and test engineers) ensuring clarity of priorities and goals for the entire functional area of Dayforce Hub and responsible for working across functions with peers in other groups to ensure collaboration for shared goals. You will also be expected to work with senior management and other peers in regards to strategic product development and execution, planning, and delivery.

• Leading a development team responsible for the Dayforce Hub application, providing maintenance and support, as well as ensuring project delivery times are met given various business needs
• Interfaces with client base to understand requirements, priorities, and processes
• Implements new projects/product features or recommends system improvements for software
• Is responsible for developing long-term development and business technology strategies, specifically utilizing architecture patterns relevant to Cloud, Microservices and Containerization
• Ensures adherence to highest quality standards in product delivery consistently utilizing best practices and advanced techniques
• Manages executive level customer relationships and provide team oversight through product build
• Motivate teams to document solutions and contribute to internal knowledge share
• Demonstrates thought leadership to resolve customer & business challenges; proactively addresses product issues
• Participates in the company\xe2\x80\x99s internal, departmental and cross-departmental initiatives
• Increases Engagement and Capabilities of Team Resources
• Works to leverage shared product knowledge and subject matter experts to augment team core skills and increase teams overall resource loads
• Provides coaching and mentoring to improve performance and drive career development and builds team expertise and confidence in product build through real-time feedback and coaching and effective training plans

Skills and experience we value

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Extensive experience in an Enterprise Software development company
• Experience supporting multiple development teams concurrently, providing guidance and prioritization alongside peer development managers
• Proven track record of building and managing high performing engineering teams
• Strong business and technical vision
• Experience in development of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Previous demonstrated project management success on high-volume
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with modern web technologies, such as Angular or React
• Experience with object-oriented programming, and technologies such as Java or C#

What would make you really stand out

• Experience with CMS systems is a plus
• Experience with GraphQL is a plus
