Department Overview

Business Information Management (BIM) at TD is part of a creative, enterprise-wide data and analytics ecosystem. Roles in BIM are highly professional and valued, specialized yet inter-connected and focused making the availability of business information to designers, developers and decision-makers a priority, all with a united purpose to serve customers and continually build a better bank.

We're looking for analytical and agile professionals who can merge and translate data into technology and business information, serving today's business needs and setting in motion TD's longer-term goals and strategic objectives.

We are on a journey to enable Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) at TD with a Climate Data Solution, that will blend internal and externally sourced data to deliver on key Climate priority areas and use-cases. As a part of this new team, with an enterprise mandate, you will be on the leading edge of the TD ESG journey to enable scale, competency, and business solutions through data and analytics.

Job Requirements

What can you bring to TD? Share your most relevant experience, credentials and knowledge for this role, as well as these essential requirements and attributes:

  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate
  • Graduate degree is an asset
  • Ten (10) or more years relevant experience from a business administration, statistical, mathematical, scientific or financial background
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and draw conclusions
  • Advanced ability to lead, plan, implement and evaluate program / project activities and guide strategic direction of the function and provide advice to senior leadership
  • Advanced knowledge of various data sources, tools and technologies used in preparing summaries/reports
  • In-depth Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends
  • Dexterous in using analytical software tools, MS Office, data analysis methods and reporting techniques
  • High expertise in coaching and mentoring others; communicate positively and professionally (both in speaking and writing)
  • Act as a brand champion for the business area / function and TD, both internally and externally

As a Senior Manager, Business Information Management, you will:
  • Oversee and lead a large and highly complex and diverse reporting function for an area of significant risk, complexity or scope, while at the same time, growing talent and developing skills and capabilities to achieve career goals, support project success and achieve business results
  • Provide people management leadership by managing and leading strong talent, setting goals and managing performance, compensation and compliance with human resources policies
  • Share and transfer knowledge, information, skills and expertise among the team
  • Oversee the delivery of data products in report and presentation formats, responsible for data sourcing and management (e.g. quality assurance, analysis and production and distribution of information), adhering to specifications and timelines and in alignment with overall business data governance and information management strategies
  • Be a strategic partner to senior leadership on the management of the portfolio and financials, with deep industry, enterprise knowledge, recognizing and anticipating emerging trends to develop strategic plan
  • Lead the efforts in integrating different business and technology operations to enable a consolidated view of customer information to drive behavior and predictive analyses
  • Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality and innovation; ensure timely communication of issues/points of interest
