We are seeking a forward-thinking, innovative Windows Server and cloud technical resource to join us as an Sr. IT System Analyst. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the effective designing, provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related IT infrastructure. This System Analyst will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the IT infrastructure. This individual helps ensure that system hardware, operating systems and voice and data networks are optimized to operate efficiently and reliably. Responsibilities:
  • Function as an IT infrastructure resource resolving software and hardware issues within servers, databases, and other mission-critical systems.
  • Perform file system configuration and management; define server backups and recovery procedures.
  • Plan and implement server upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches.
  • Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including the installation of service packs, patches, hot fixes, etc.
  • Recommend and execute modifications to server environment in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other IT teams in order to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of the IT Infrastructure in order to meet business demands.
  • Participate in the development of strategies for server implementations including architecting the infrastructure required to support those strategies.
  • Conduct research on IT infrastructure technologies in support of procurement and development efforts.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science or a technical diploma in an applicable field or equivalent experience.
  • 5 -7 Years work experience in a technical position responsible for supporting IT infrastructure environments.
  • Knowledge with VMware, Citrix, Windows Servers, and SharePoint
  • Working knowledge of Cloud technologies (Azure).
  • Working knowledge of storage technologies, backup technologies, load balancing and clustering.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining server hardware and associated network equipment.
  • Experience with server performance tuning and monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with telephony, network protocols and firewall management
  • Ability to conduct research into server issues and products as required.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Occasional travel to field locations is required.
