Senior Supply Chain Analyst (18 Months contract)

We are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Analyst to join our wonderful Financial Planning, Analysis and Supply Chain team in Canada

The Purpose of the Role:

Coordinates product supply and order fulfilment processes for Supply Chain functions at NNCI and completes all inventory accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

Distribution Management

  • With Supply Chain Manager, manages relationships with third party providers in delivering distribution type services, to enhance processes and resolve issues, including distributor, customs brokers, freight forwarders and other logistics suppliers. Ensure service levels are maintained and operations are accurately reflected in procedures/any client manuals.
  • Tracks cost drivers that impact distribution costs with 3PL and monitor actual volumes against contracted estimates.
  • Implements supply chain related projects, preparing schedules, budgets, and tracking progress. Provide updates to stakeholders as required.
  • Implements Order Fulfilment strategies and plans that align with the achievement of NNCI business strategies.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging trends in the Canadian Supply Channel, assess the impact to NNCI, recommends actions and manages the change process, as appropriate.
Product Supply Management
  • Liaises with Product Supply for both system-generated and manually ordered items (including samples, novel items and low volume items) as per forecast. Collaborate with counterparts in Global Product Supply to avoid backorders and minimize inventory write-offs.
  • Works collaboratively with Quality, Regulatory, Labelling, Marketing and other departments on issues and initiatives including backorders and other quality issues to minimize the supply impact and continue to meet corporate goals.
  • Takes part in Sales and Operations Planning meetings, and challenge forecasts, if necessary, so correct forecasts are available to production planners. Highlights other business-related issues potentially impacting supply (i.e., competitor backorder, formulary listing, etc.).
  • Updates SAP (including master data) to ensure product replenishment and data from NNCI\'s Third Party Logistic provider interfaces into SAP. Rectifies issues quickly so sales and inventory levels balance.
Process Management
  • Working along-side Supply Chain Manager, takes part in all affiliate supply chain processes with intent of increasing understanding of all processes and potentially offering ideas to improve processes.
  • Investigates and implements process improvements and root cause analysis, as necessary, in line with Novo Nordisk WAY through analysis and methodical problem solving.
Inventory Accounting and Control
  • Performs inventory accounting so 3PL transmissions and inventory are accurately reflected in SAP and are reconciled. Completes month-end reporting accurately and on-time and responds to internal and external audit queries
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • University degree in Business/Commerce or Engineering, preferably with a major in Supply Chain (Logistics/Operations) or Finance.
  • You should have a solid knowledge of SAP SD/MM
  • Good project management and product life cycle management experience
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills, you should also have string analytical skills, strong financial acumen, and ability to work with cross functional group.
Experience:
  • Minimum of three years\' experience in supply chain, preferably in pharmaceutical industry
Physical Requirements:
  • Minimum travel, mostly local to external meetings, work in an open office environment with exposure to multiple demands, deadlines and interruptions
