A Senior IT Project Manager is required for a long-term engagement supporting multiple digital health and technology initiatives. The role provides senior-level leadership, direction, and oversight across several concurrent projects, ensuring delivery of complex IT and eHealth solutions from initiation through completion.
The successful candidate will manage project planning, governance, execution, and reporting while coordinating with technical teams, business units, and external partners. This position requires strong project management expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, multi-stakeholder environments. Experience delivering IT or digital health projects within the Canadian health system is a strong asset.
Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery
Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple IT and digital health projects simultaneously.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Coordinate and facilitate meetings with internal teams, vendors, and health sector partners.
Build effective working relationships with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Communicate project updates, risks, and decisions clearly to sponsors and executive audiences.
Identify risks, issues, and barriers early and recommend mitigation strategies.
Support change management and communication planning for project teams and impacted users.
Reporting, Governance & Documentation
Prepare polished reports, presentations, and briefing materials for leadership.
Track and report on progress, milestones, budget, and resource usage.
Maintain accurate documentation of decisions, risks, issues, and project changes.
Ensure adherence to project governance frameworks, methodologies, and information management standards.
Conduct project reviews and lessons-learned activities to support continuous improvement.
Skills
Strong IT project management experience leading complex, multi-stream projects.
Experience with digital health or large-scale technology initiatives.
Skilled in project planning, scheduling, budgets, and governance.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage risks, issues, and dependencies effectively.
Strong documentation skills (project plans, RAID logs, status reports).
Experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of Agile/Waterfall methodologies and standard PM tools.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: $150,000.00-$250,000.00 per year
