Sr. Front-End Developer (React/Angular) to work on internal web components UI library for our large banking client - BNSJP00033477Location Address: Hybrid - Downtown Toronto - 1/week - Wednesdays - need candidates in GTAContract Duration: 05/01/2024 to 10/31/2024Possibility of extension & conversion to FTESchedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/weekReason: Backfill for contractor reaching tenureStory Behind the NeedBusiness group: Canadian Digital Banking Engineering - Applications - part of the banks digital Engineering - supporting digital banking applicationsProject: Project to work on internal web components UI library- team is supporting and building framework used by 50+ teams within Bank - mature level of project, maintaining incremental buildsCandidate Value Proposition:The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a high performing team on React and Angular frameworks; ability to take ownership of the project and work independently to suggest enhancements, provide inputs, shape the project - as it is more of an individual role.Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:1) 10+ years of experience as a Front End Developer working on web applications2) 5+ years of recent experience with React UI components3) 5+ years combined experience with HTML, CSS, SASS and CSS in JS(styled-components)4) 2+ years\' experience with CI/CD tools (Bitbucket, Azure)Nice-To-Have Skills:1) Experience with JavaScript including ES6 through ES9 and Typescript.2) Experience working on Angular3) Experience with accessibility and mobile standardsTypical Day in Role:

• Tech Stack: React and Angular - front-end developer role

• Working with design product teams on building new components for web applications

• Engaging with the community of developers to answer questions and guide them

• Help support to maintain the incremental builds for the UI library components frameworks

• Comfortable with modern JavaScript including ES6 through ES9 and Typescript.

• Build Reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.

• Knowledge on HTML, CSS, SASS and CSS in JS(styled-components).

Education:Bachelor\'s / Diploma - in technical field such as computer science, engineering preferredBest VS. Average Candidate:Need a strong senior React developer who has experience with managing stakeholder expectations and working with a large team, able to adapt, strong communication skills needed in this role; very strong with React UI components, capable of working independently and is accountable for their work; if they have worked on newer types of applications and designs v.s. old ones, this will help set them up for successCandidate Review & Selection2 rounds - MS Teams Video Interviews1st with HM - 30 minutes - behavioral2nd panel with team (senior devs, tech leads etc.)- 1 hour - 30 minutes technical questions - 30 minutes live coding exercises, likely 2 coding challenges*NOTE Need to have preferred IDE installed and able to share screen with good connection interviews
