Position Details:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, the Senior Associate, FP&A plays an integral role on the HCCA FP&A team. This role supports the Finance Department in its role as the "control tower" of the company by designing and enhancing processes for monthly, quarterly, and annual management and regulatory reporting, forecasting, and ad-hoc analyses. The Senior Associate works cross-functionally to communicate HCCA's profitability, efficiency, productivity, and financial projections to senior leadership in Canada and South Korea. The position requires expertise in business concepts, managerial accounting, financial modeling, and fluency in Korean.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver managerial P&L, asset/liability, and performance reports to HCCA Senior Leadership and external stakeholders, both in English and Korean.
  • Collaborate with other departments to produce unified and consistent financial communications.
  • Design, maintain, and evolve advanced analytical processes using tools such as database queries, Power Query, Power Pivot, and VBA.
  • Build and enhance predictive models to support comprehensive P&L forecasting and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial/management reporting, stakeholder communication, performance analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Professional-level Korean language proficiency is required.
  • Experience in consumer finance preferred (auto finance, mortgage, banking, or credit card).
  • Skilled in building business and financial cases, and in conducting performance variance analysis.
  • Proficient in Excel (including Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA), PowerPoint, and working with large datasets.
  • Familiarity with DB programming (SAS, SQL) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and challenge existing practices to drive continuous improvement.
