Job Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst in North York, Ontario. The chosen candidate will be primarily involved in the financial reporting and accounting responsibilities, with a portion of the role dedicated to Financial Planning and Analysis (FP& A).Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process financial data and reports in compliance with IFRS 17 standards

• Prepare comprehensive financial statements for review and distribution

• Utilize financial reporting skills to create and maintain accurate records

• Engage in budgeting and forecasting activities to aid strategic planning

• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and financial risks

• Collaborate with the FP& A team to optimize financial performance and strategic position

• Address and resolve financial inquiries and issues promptly and accurately.
• Holding a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis
• Proficiency in IFRS Accounting
• Comprehensive experience in Budgeting and Forecasting
• Demonstrable competency in Financial Reporting
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional data analysis skills
• High level of proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team, as well as independently
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Detail oriented certification such as CFA or CPA is a plus
