Job Description


:We are seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. This role focuses on delivering insightful financial analysis, financial modeling, and reporting to guide business decisions in the manufacturing industry.Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing financial results, trends, and key performance indicators to provide actionable insights to management.
  • Preparation of financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Assisting in the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Leading the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
  • Monitoring actual performance against budgets/forecasts and offering recommendations to optimize financial outcomes.
  • Tracking manufacturing costs to ensure cost control and efficiency, including materials, labor, and overhead.
  • Collaborating with operations and supply chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
  • Leveraging large ERP systems to extract and analyze financial data, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Assisting in system upgrades, implementation, or enhancements to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support for decision-making.
  • Presenting financial findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensuring financial practices are compliant with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Assisting in internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
Requirements:
  • Possession of a Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Financial Analyst role or similar
  • Proficiency in business systems and CRM
  • Experience with Confluence and Crystal Reports software
  • Knowledge of data mining techniques and About Time software
  • Solid understanding of accounting functions and auditing
  • Familiarity with budget processes and capital management
  • Experience in costing and manufacturing cost accounting
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
