There is a current need for a Senior Financial Analyst by one of Robert Half\'s clients. The main responsibilities of this Senior Financial Analyst role will include developing rolling forecast processes to ensure resources are leveraged with maximum effectiveness, driving world class strategic and financial planning methods, and building long-range operating plans to support business initiatives. The Senior Financial Analyst will be key in operationilizing and cultivating data-driven planning processes and improving upon monthly and quarterly reporting. Make a difference as a Senior Financial Analyst in a pivotal role, which gives you the opportunity to directly work with senior leadership of the company and contribute a strategic input. This role will comprise of coordinating various planning cycles (annual planning, quarterly forecasts and monthly outlooks), while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. You will contribute variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Guelph, Ontario area.Key responsibilities- Inspect performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities- Sanction effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support- Join forces with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation and prioritization- Support Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process- Grasp and define internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending- Watch monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources- Govern weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting- Organize and check forecasting reports- Work in close coordination with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans- Offer monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
- 5+ years experience with advanced financial analysis, planning and budget controls required- Distinguished presentation skills- Bachelor\'s Degree in Finance, MBA preferred- Demonstrated ability with financial reporting tools- General familiarity with Power BI- Quality experience with CPA- Prior experience with Profit and loss- Enterprise resource planning experience- Good understanding of Ad Hoc Financial Analysis- Proven knowledge of NetSuite- Wide ranging experience with CPA Track- Previous experience working with Ad Hoc Reporting- Experience with Expense Reporting- Accounting Functions experience- Earlier work involving Ad Hoc Analysis- Skills in Quantitative Analysis- Hands-on experience with Deadline Oriented- Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Power BI- Comprehension of financial modeling- Solid understanding of CRM- Data Mining Techniques experience- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel- Experience with Cash Flow Analysis- Capable of simplifying complex problems and building solutionsRobert Half is the world\'s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
