Analyzing large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and correlations for product and process improvements.
Developing or assisting in the development of process and product solutions through advanced data analysis or machine learning and advanced predictive models to predict equipment failures
Assist in the acquisition, compilation, validation, and analysis of data sets from multiple sources throughout the manufacturing plant or the research lab.
Educate other Researchers on the available tools for data analytics, advanced modeling, and digitalization and promote their use in future efforts.
Keep abreast of up-to-date knowledge on the tools and methods for data analysis, machine learning, and AI.
Explore new technologies in the Digitalization front, for profitable application in the manufacturing plant or R&D.
Create visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders and decision-makers.
Communicate project results in reports, presentations, and publications.
Education And Work ExperienceA university degree (Master\xe2\x80\x99s degrees or above preferred) in Sciences or Engineering. Some experience working with industrial or manufacturing data would be an asset. Experience in Metallurgy or Steel Manufacturing would be extremely beneficial.Qualifications
Solid knowledge in the following areas:
Machine and deep learning
Developing and implementing AI algorithms
Advanced data analysis
Statistics (design of experiments, data analysis and model formulation)
Computer Programming (C++, Java, etc.)
Ability to learn, and to teach others
Advanced ability to use and learn Office 365 software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerApps, PowerBI).
Skills in Python and SQL will be strong assets.
Ability to work as a team member on cross-functional projects, lead from a technical analysis standpoint, and take direction from others more knowledgeable in the process and business aspects.
Ability to work under minimum supervision.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle real-world challenges
Must have interpersonal skills with strong oral, presentation and written communication skills.
