As a Senior Information Security Investigator, you\xe2\x80\x99ll assist with the investigation of information security alerts and events. Your skills and experience will identify and prioritize incident risk and work towards determining root cause in an effort to provide resolution activities and recommendations. You\xe2\x80\x99ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you\xe2\x80\x99ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote** This role will be working on a Monday to Friday, 1400 - 2200 hrs timeslot, performing over-watch of afternoon and evening SOC Operations. **How you\xe2\x80\x99ll succeedInvestigation Support - Apply advanced investigation support for information security events and privacy events escalated by the Triage Team within the Cyber Security Operations Centre in an effort to minimize impact to the organization. Provide forensic activities to analyze systems and networks for indicators of compromise and determine root cause analysis. Provide mentorship and leadership qualities to the team.Security Technology/Process Support - Provide technical insight, recommendations, and leadership into the development and support of all security operational processes, procedures and tools used for ensuring the integrity of Information Security. Provide direction to the implementation of mitigating controls for incident containment and resolution. Support monitoring criteria and processes to ensure that industry best practices are maintained.Who you areYou can demonstrate experience in a SOC, Cyber Incident Response function and/or Computer Forensics role for at least for at least 5 years. You have a good understanding of security threats (e.g. malware, network threats, etc.). You have experience in various network and computer security investigation tools (SIEM, NIDS, Firewalls, etc.). Experience with computer forensic tools and working knowledge of firewalls/networks. It\xe2\x80\x99s an asset if you have experience in Cloud based environments.You\xe2\x80\x99re a certified professional. You have current accreditation and good standing (at least one of the following) CISSP, CCSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, GCFE would be considered an asset.You give meaning to data analysis. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information.
