What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Application Developer, you will need to support tagging and accessibility compliance on the Enterprise Application Suite (EAS) using AccessibilityNow Designer. The primary focus of this role is to ensure digital statements and forms are properly tagged to meet accessibility standards. Hands-on experience with AccessibilityNow Designer is an asset, but not a must.
You will also be responsible for creation of forms in Adobe Enterprise Manager - Designer as static and dynamic PDF, HTML5 and Adaptive forms to improve user experience and ensure forms meet AA WCAG accessibility requirements. As form developer you will convert business requirements and rules into dynamic form logic with some scripting, also leveraging common AEM components and templates. The developer also supports migration of Access database to SQL database frontend UI. For the role you work closely with Form Analysts, BSA and QA to. Also you are engaged in supporting operational and continuous improvement Forms Management initiatives. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. How You'll SucceedCollaborative Development: Convert specifications about business requirements into programming instructions. Conduct impact analysis, and analysis of organizational needs & goals, for development and implementation of application systems.
Programming Ability: Develop, review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale system. Provide support for existing production applications, and recommend opportunities for enhancements.
Code Quality: Contribute to code-review sessions and ensure overall code quality aligns with business and project requirements. Monitor production and user acceptance testing support to troubleshoot complex problems on applications and technologies.
Accessibility: Develop and implement tagging for digital statements within the EAS application using AEM Form Designer. Ensure all forms and statements meet accessibility standards (WCAG), using tools such as AccessibilityNow Designer.
Who You AreYou can demonstrate experience in: 1-2 years of hands-on experience in frontend development (xml, html, css, Javascript), preferably for creation of webforms, as well as a pulse on innovative technology. Knowledge of WCAG accessibility requirements is a strong asset. Technical experience with databases such as SQL is also an asset.
