Robert Half Management Resources is the worldwide leader in specialized consulting and staffing services for senior-level accounting, finance and business systems professionals.
Our Not-for-Profit client seeks a General Accountant for a three-month contract. In this role you will support full cycle accounting duties.
The General Accountant's duties will include:
xc2xb7 Processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable entries
xc2xb7 Preparing financial statements
xc2xb7 Performing bank reconciliations
xc2xb7 Supporting month-end and quarter end close
xc2xb7 Providing authoritative advice regarding Public Sector Accounting Practices.
xc2xb7 Preparing a wide variety of reports for funders and stakeholders
xc2xb7 Developing and improving tools for presentation and analysis.
xc2xb7 Other duties as required
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
xc2xb7 Post-secondary education in a relevant field
xc2xb7 Working knowledge of Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations
xc2xb7 Five years' experience in a full cycle accounting role
xc2xb7 Experience with Concur a strong asset
xc2xb7 Bilingualism a strong asset
