We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

Sr Accountant

to join our finance team. You will be responsible for the full accounting cycle including payroll, client invoicing, accounts payable, and month-end reconciliations.

Duties

Complete the weekly payroll and subcontractor payments Ensure all payroll, sales, and corporate taxes are paid and the correct remittances and installment payments are made Manage the entire billing, collections, and accounts payable process Ensure the overall accuracy of Quickbooks in a timely manner Reconcile banks, credit card statements, and employee benefits Close month-ends and assist the CFO with the year-end process Maintain detailed records and back-up for all transactions Construction specific responsibilities including holdbacks, progress billing, time & material billing, job costing, and work-in-progress reconciliations Work cross-functionally with project managers and other team members Other duties and special projects as required

Requirements

5+ years experience in construction accounting or a similar industry Experience with Quickbooks or a similar accounting software Strong knowledge of accounting principles including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments A certificate or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; professional certification such as CPA is a plus
This role has room to grow into a Controller position over time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 per year
