The innovative team at Robert Half is in need of a Senior Accountant with terrific experience and know-how for a long-term contract / temporary opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Major responsibilities

- Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

- Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners

- Implement monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

- Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

- Review financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)

- Participate in various department-wide initiatives

- Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations

- Ad-hoc projects as required

- Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

- SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

- Comprehension of Intercompany Transaction

- Well-founded grasp of financial reporting

- General familiarity with accruals

- Review Journal Entries experience preferred

- Practical knowledge of Balance Sheet Reconciliation

- Experience with Debit Memo

- Previous experience working with Ledger Reconciliations

- Quality experience with financial analysis

- Skills in Reconcile Payroll

- Wide ranging experience with payroll for under 100 employees

- Proficiency in Post Journal Entries

- Earlier work involving account reconciliation

- Journal Entry Preparation experience desired

- Knowledge of journal entries

- Month end closings experience

- Proven knowledge of financial reconciliation

- Good understanding of bank reconciliations

- Hands-on experience with Purchase Orders

- Efficient in ERP systems

- Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills

- Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks

- Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

- Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports

- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

- Proven ability to work and communication well with manager-level associates

- Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience

- Candidates that are proficient in financial reporting may be most suitable for this opportunity
