Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: The Canadian Statutory Reporting team works to align with any new or additional requirements facing Canadian Banks. The current project is creating data modeling with regards to Retail Credit Risk
• Reason for request: The team is working with a tight deadline to have new modeling project completed by Spring 2023 and requires additional support of a SQL Developer

Typical Day in the Role:

• Data modeling based on project specific information
• Working to create a date pipeline to be used for reporting
• Provide data expertise and identify patterns to improve process and calculation flows
• Analyzing and updating data, changing data paths to align strategically within the banks initiative as needed
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
• Assure quality, security, and compliance requirements are met for supported area
• Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment

Must Have Skills:

• 5 + years' recent data modelling experience
• 5 + years' experience with as an SQL Developer
• 5 + years' data analysis and data management

Nice to Have:

• 2 + years' hands on experience with SAS
• Familiarity with IFRS9

Soft Skills:

• Good communication skills required to work with multiple users
• Strong Problem-Solving Skills
• Ability to work independently

Degrees or certifications:

• Bachelor's degree required in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering etc.)
