ISAAC is seeking an SQL Developer / Database Administrator (DBA), a key role in the company\'s success. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, integration and management of data services for our cloud-based platform, which sits at the heart of our growing range of products supporting operational communications for our trucking clients. You will also handle the resolving of production issues, and the implementing and maintaining all data services infrastructures.

This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic, growing company. You\'ll work closely with the Cloud team, IT and another SQL developer/ Database Administrator.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries to guarantee optimal database performance
  • Optimize execution plans to reduce resource consumption and limit bottlenecks
  • Maximize query efficiency by judiciously choosing which indexes to adopt ; reorganize or recreate indexes as needed to guarantee optimal performance
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, in collaboration with developers and analysts
  • Write complex SQL queries optimized to meet application and reporting requirements
  • Create, modify and delete database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures and triggers, etc.
  • Design, develop and maintain relational databases
  • Implement and maintain efficient backup and recovery procedures
  • Ensure data availability, integrity and security
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand needs and optimize database interactions
  • Provide technical support to developers for the efficient writing of SQL queries
  • Implement and maintain data security policies, including access control and authentication
  • Monitor suspicious activity and implement security measures to protect sensitive data
  • Document database schemas, stored procedures and other database components
  • Create and maintain user manuals for frequently used SQL queries
  • Monitor trends and new technologies in the field of databases and propose improvements accordingly
  • Diagnose and resolve database problems, including performance errors, integrity errors and failures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, information systems or related certification
  • Significant experience as an SQL Developer with advanced skills in writing and optimizing SQL queries
  • In-depth knowledge of relational database management systems such as SQL Server and others
  • Software development skills and proficiency in programming languages (e.g. C#, PowerShell, HTML) will be an asset
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems proactively
  • Ability to interact positively and tactfully at all levels; good team spirit
  • Good understanding of cloud database technologies (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, etc.)
  • Ability to document processes and procedures, including technical diagrams of organizational data flows
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Experience with Postgres, time series databases or other NoSQL databases
  • Excellent command of French and comfortable in English.
Asset
  • Knowledge about ETL (Extract, transform, load process) process
  • Experience of working with databricks, azure data platform tools, azure data factory
  • Experience of data modelling, data model optimization, SQL query optimization to support big data processing.
