The Spiritual Care and Community Liaison Assistant provides leadership in assuring the integration of spirituality and care into everyday operations and interactions. They will actively collaborate with the Parish Priest to foster a culture that is grounded in the Core Values of compassion, inclusion, integrity, excellence and collaboration. Job Requirements Education: bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent, pastoral ministry or a related field, working knowledge of health care systems and a demonstrated familiarity with a diversity of spirituality; the knowledge and ability to work effectively within the framework of the Anglican Church.
- Experience: Experience working with the elderly required; At least two years of demonstrated success in management positions, preferably in health care. Training and/or experience in community health care will be an advantage
- Serves as a spiritual care provider, providing complete care and support to members according to their specific needs and desires.
- Serves as a primary resource, spiritual advisor and point of contact for the spiritual needs of members.
- Engages as a spiritual leader, a compassionate listener and counselor especially during times of crisis.
- Provides support services to clients who have mental health and drug and alcohol misuse/addiction issues
- Provides emotional support and counseling using strong interpersonal skills to effectively connect with people of all ages with empathy.
- Offers prayers and delegated religious services for members and the community.
- Work with relevant community agencies to access resources
- Foster a positive relationships between the church, school, home, and community
- Proven work experience as a Community Liaison or similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible, amicable, and community-oriented approach
- Adherence to designated procedural guidelines.
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a Community Liaison
- Paid time off
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
- Commission pay
