Overview
TheraBounce Inc. is seeking a passionate and creative Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our multidisciplinary team!
We specialize in therapeutic trampolining for children and adults with a range of disabilities, offering movement-based and play-based therapy experiences that are engaging, individualized, and effective. We are excited to expand our services by adding an SLP to better support our clients' communication and social interaction goals in a dynamic, sensory-rich environment.
Schedule:
Fridays (afternoons/evenings)
Potential for additional hours based on caseload and demand
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for clients with diverse needs and diagnoses (e.g., autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, genetic conditions).
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans focused on expressive/receptive language, articulation, social communication, and functional communication goals.
Incorporate movement-based and play-based strategies, including trampoline and sensory-motor activities, to increase engagement and generalization of communication skills.
Collaborate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, therapy assistants, and recreational therapists to create cohesive, goal-oriented treatment approaches.
Provide parent and caregiver education to promote communication support strategies in daily routines.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with professional and organizational standards.
Experience & Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
Registered and in good standing with CASLPO (College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario)
Experience working with children and/or adults with disabilities (preferred)
Interest in movement-based, sensory, and play-integrated therapy approaches
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and flexible mindset
Creativity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to client-centred care
(Trampoline experience not required -- full training provided!)
