What your day to day would look like:
Responsible for the assessment of clients (including flexing to the needs of the client for in home, in clinic, or video conference assessments), and the establishment of ongoing treatment plans
Selecting and utilizing standardized assessment tools
Writing comprehensive assessment and progress reports
Provide ongoing speech-language pathology intervention
Communicate information and recommendations regarding treatment plans to clients and stakeholders within the client's circle of care
Maintain current accurate clinical records according to standards set by College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists (CASLPO) of Ontario
Collaborate with other members of the health team as needed to submit Auto Insurance Claim Forms (OCF forms)
Select appropriate individualized therapy materials and approaches and provide support and education to clients and families
Mix of in-clinic, in-home, and remote working environments
What you need to be successful:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology / Communication Sciences and Disorders (MSc) or equivalent
Registered and in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
Strong time-management skills required
Excellent communication skills required with an ability to collaborate with other team members and a strong understanding of when and how to make interdisciplinary referrals
New graduates considered. MVA experience preferred but not mandatory.
