We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations. Duties
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, voice, fluency, cognition, and swallowing functions.
Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to improve communication and swallowing abilities.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and case managers to coordinate patient care.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Educate patients and their families on strategies to enhance communication skills and manage disorders effectively.
Assist with case management responsibilities as needed to ensure comprehensive patient support.
Qualifications
Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Prior experience in hospital or acute care settings is preferred.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to healthcare environments.
Experience working with pediatric populations is a plus.
Demonstrated ability in patient care with excellent communication skills.
Familiarity with case management processes within healthcare settings is advantageous.
