We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our healthcare team. Very flexible schedule . The ideal candidate will provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations. Duties
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions.
Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
Provide evidence-based therapy sessions to improve communication skills and swallowing safety.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
Educate patients and their families about communication techniques and strategies for ongoing support.
Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Participate in case management activities to ensure comprehensive patient care continuity.
Skills
Proven experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist within hospital or acute care settings is preferred.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology and healthcare environments.
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to individual needs.
Ability to perform detailed assessments and develop effective treatment plans.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating patients and families.
