Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide expert communication and swallowing therapy to diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and adults, in various clinical settings. Candidates with acute care background, and familiarity with medical terminology are highly preferred. Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing functions including mouth breathing and oral myo functional disorders. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical best practices Provide direct or supervision therapy services to pediatric and adult patients . Collaborate with health team. Document patient progress accurately in medical records and adjust treatment strategies accordingly Educate patients and families about communication strategies and swallowing safety Participate in case management activities to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes Stay current with advances in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development

Experience

Experience working with pediatric and adults populations . Demonstrated ability in case management and patient care coordination Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to healthcare environments Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient interaction Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist in Ontario.
