is seeking an Alberta registered Speech Language Pathologist to work with our clients with special needs. You would be working with predominately children who are on the autism spectrum who have mild to severe speech delays and defiencies and will be working in conjunction with aides, respite workers, behaviour therapists, occupational therapists and physiotherapists to provide holistic care for these clients. The majority of the children are FSCD funded so having previous experience working with FSCD clients would be a huge asset. Masters Degree in Speech language pathology or equivalent required. Driver's license and access to a car would be a huge asset as you would usually be administering mobile service at clients' homes.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech and language disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
Provide therapy sessions to patients in clients homes and sometimes in person at clinic location.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
Educate patients and their families about speech disorders and treatment options.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Stay current with best practices in speech therapy through ongoing professional development.
Help create individualized service plans as required by FSCD and attend online FSCD meetings for clients as required.
