Your Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and dynamic interdisciplinary team that focuses on meeting the rehab needs of clients experiencing moderate to severe functional impairments post-Covid. The area of post-Covid rehab is developing and changing rapidly and this is an opportunity to develop your skills within this unique service model. We\'re looking for an SLP II who will provide screening, intake, assessment and clinical intervention and who may also support program development and evaluation as part of the multi-disciplinary team, working closely with OT, PT and Social Work. The successful candidate will excel while working independently and within a team. They will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated interested advancing their knowledge and skills as an SLP. This position is based at the South Calgary Health Centre. The caseload for all positions within CAR may be subject to change based on operational considerations.

Description:

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide clinical professional practice both independently and as a part of a collaborative team, which may include external partners. You will be responsible for providing prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management. You will participate in planning, coordination and delivery of rehabilitation services in collaboration with patients/clients, families, healthcare professionals and other partners. Your leadership and interpersonal skills will aide you in supervising students and providing clinical guidance to other staff as appropriate. You will use your clinical expertise to inform ongoing quality improvement, service integration, and program development.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of master\'s degree in Speech Language Pathology. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA). Additional Required Qualifications:

At least 1 year of experience working as a clinical speech language pathologist. Demonstrated experience working with clients with cognitive communication challenges. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in an ambulatory multidisciplinary rehabilitation program. Clinical experience working with post COVID clients. Recent (within last 2 years) experience facilitating group treatment sessions and virtual service delivery (1:1 and groups). Experience with program development and the development of related materials for patient education.
