Job Summary



We are seeking a qualified and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. This role involves working closely with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities



Assessment and Diagnosis:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' speech, language, and communication abilities to identify areas of need.

Treatment Planning and Implementation:

Develop and execute individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices to address identified challenges.

Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, healthcare providers, and families, to ensure cohesive and effective care.

Education and Training:

Provide education and resources to clients, families, and community partners to support ongoing development and generalization of skills.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and communications in compliance with regulatory standards.

Program Development:

Participate in the development and enhancement of therapy programs and services to meet the evolving needs of the community.

Supervision:

Provide clinical supervision to support personnel, students, and initial practice registrants as required.

Qualifications & Requirements



Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution or equivalent. Current registration and in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). 2-4 years of pediatric SLP experience is an asset. Must have experience working with children. Ideally has experience with sensory processing, ADHD, autism, and other developmental challenges. Previous experience in pediatric is preferred. Must have experience working with children. Experience conducting assessments and developing treatment plans. Ability to work independently as well as in a multi-disciplinary team. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and with a team. Valid G class license and access to a reliable vehicle Clean Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (must be from within the last 6 months).

Additional Skills



Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Proficiency in assessment and therapeutic interventions for a diverse client population. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Familiarity with virtual therapy platforms is an asset. Motivated self-starter with excellent written and communication skills - demonstrated ability to complete detailed, clear, concise, and accurate reports.
