We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team in the Emergency department at Atlin Hospital.
In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Remote Practice Registered Nurse practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and core competencies for Remote Certified nursing and code of ethics as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centered care model. The Remote Practice Registered Nurse is responsible for providing primary health care and emergency services to the community.
There are a couple training positions available for 2025/26
Northern Health provides placement support and funding for tuition, textbooks, and travel expenses for clinical placements, as required
Learners should expect to make a 4 - 8 month commitment for this education, which includes online and in-person learning
Additional study time, outside of scheduled hours, will be required to successfully complete the program
Flexibility for practicums is necessary
Applicants must successfully complete the education program prior to working in the department
Upon successful completion of the education program, Northern Health requires an eighteen (18) month return of service in a regular position in the area of nursing applicable to the education program.
Qualified applicants will be considered first for specialty positions. If there are no qualified applicants, training lines will be awarded to unqualified applicants and training will be provided

Atlin Health Centre
provides health care services on a walk-in basis. 3-4 Doctor Clinics held each month with visiting Yukon physicians. They have lab services as well as a visiting Physiotherapist from the Yukon.

Qualifications
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
CRNBC Remote Practice Certification.
Five years of broad base clinical experience in an outpost setting, a rural acute care setting or in community or public health, or an equivalent.
Immunization Certification.
Current valid BC Driver's License.
