Position Overview
The Specialty Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring seamless execution of our patient support programs and pharmacy operations. This individual will act as a bridge between patients, prescribers, and internal teams to facilitate timely access to medications and ensure an exceptional standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate all aspects of patient onboarding, prescription intake, and reimbursement support.
Communicate with physicians, nurses, and patients to obtain necessary documentation and clarify treatment details.
Process prescriptions accurately and support the dispensing team in day-to-day operations.
Track case progress and follow up on pending authorizations, renewals, and deliveries.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all relevant regulatory and privacy standards.
Support data entry, reporting, and quality-assurance processes as assigned.
Provide empathetic, professional service to every patient interaction.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Health Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a specialty pharmacy or patient support program setting preferred.
Strong understanding of private and public drug coverage in Canada (e.g., Trillium, EAP, third-party payors).
Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Detail-oriented, empathetic, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
