As the Architect Owner for the Cloud Platform, you will focus on creating and owning the cloud strategy and various innovative solutions to drive the value of Suncor\xe2\x80\x99s investments in public and private cloud technology.
In this role you will create a vision and strategy to align with Enterprise Architecture\xe2\x80\x99s long-term blueprints and mapping them to business problems and required capabilities.
You will sit at the leadership table of Director of Cloud, Infrastructure & DevOps platforms, contributing meaningfully to the leadership team dynamic and taking part in key team decisions and initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
10 years experience in IT, with at least 2 years experience in operations
Five years of Cloud & Infrastructure delivery
Two years experience in the design and provisioning of cloud technologies
Two years experience in IT architecture and strategy
Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work and lead effectively across internal and external organizations
Ability to translate complex technical problems or solutions into simple concepts
Responsibilities:
Engage with business and product teams to guide them on current standards.
Capture requirements, business goals and objectives and creating architecture standards and patterns
Work closely with the platform owner to update our cloud roadmap on a quarterly basis, focused on technology, people and process
Exert technical influence over multiple teams, contributing to the modernization of each respective technology area by sharing your deep knowledge and experience.
Lead technical discussions with IT leaders to help Suncor speed their adoption of new technologies and practices.
Challenge the status quo and current technology paradigms with respectful debate and valuable discourse
Mentor, coach and guide team members in their development and maturity of cloud and automation competency
Location and other Key Details:
You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 \xe2\x80\x93 6th Ave S.W.
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
