  • Provide label review and regulatory solutions for products packaged or prepared for Sobeys businesses
  • Perform regulatory assessment of new products and recipe substitutions by providing nutritional and labeling expertise
  • Develop and implement programs to support the labeling compliance framework for commissaries
  • Support projects and initiatives that achieve regulatory (federal/provincial/municipal) requirements of commissary and store prepared products
  • Lead the maintenance and administration of SFC Licences
  • Provide regulatory information packages and regulatory training for relevant personnel
  • Liaise with government agency inspectors regarding product complaints and inquiries
  • Support the administration and execution of the national recall program
  • Keep abreast of emerging regulatory issues in and participate in trade association meetings
  • Support the national Regulatory Affairs program as required
What you have to offer:
  • An Undergraduate Degree in Science and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations and administering regulatory programs
  • Moderate knowledge of Canadian food regulations, food labeling and SFC licencing
  • Moderate experience with incident and recall coordination and dealing with regulators
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, and databases
  • Moderate knowledge in nutrition, food chemistry, product composition, and methods of analysis
