We are also a leading supplier of uranium refining, conversion, and fuel manufacturing services from our operations in Ontario.The RoleCameco has a great opportunity available for an enthusiastic, motivated professional to learn about the intricacies of the project life cycle and how procurement impacts the success of projects large and small.In this role, you will:

  • Working closely with sustaining capital project management teams, you will lead the sourcing and procurement activities for a range of materials and equipment, utilizing procurement best practices while ensuring procurement processes and procedures are followed
  • Collaborating with end users to determine sourcing and procurement strategies, developing and initiating requests for information, quotations, and proposals
  • Evaluating proposals and generate purchase orders using SAP and facilitating the resolution of blocked invoices in a timely manner to ensure efficiency in the procure-to-pay process
Required:
  • A bachelor degree in business, commerce, or in a related field
  • Three to eight years of experience in the supply chain management field
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Travel to Ontario and northern Saskatchewan mine sites may be required
Recommended:
  • Previous experience with SAP or similar ERP system
  • A Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or another comparable designation
