The Specialist, Website Platform will be accountable for delivering business results through a deep understanding of market, customer and internal stakeholder needs and support the continuous evolution of Sobeys Inc. (all banners) consumer facing websites. This role will drive the development and implementation of platform features and functionalities and a key support for the ongoing day-to-day web content management and updates to deliver exceptional digital customer experiences.

Here\'s where you\'ll be focusing:

Website operations

  • Work with the Manager on day-to-day website operations and governance
  • Support the development, implementation, maintenance and evolution of the consumer web\xc2\xac\xc2\xac channel to deliver against business needs and digital roadmap
  • Develop and coordinate web and digital features and functionalities by defining requirements, design, workback schedules, UAT approvals and publishing/deployments
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns, webpage/landing page development, page optimization and content updates
  • Coordinate campaign activations with Mobile Apps, Digital IT, Marketing, Content, Creative services, Loyalty, CRM, Media teams and agencies.
  • Ensure all digital assets are supplied and comply with legal, brand and AODA standards
  • Update store locators, hours, new store openings, closings and manage relationships with Local SEO agencies
  • Setup SLA and guidelines for managing marketing real estate of digital channels
  • Maintain, manage & execute 52-week content calendar for digital web platform while delivering and exceptional customer and retail experience
  • Optimizes and publishes content across all applicable websites and supports creation of web templates that facilitate goals and adhere to corporate web guidelines
  • Work closely with Brand and Analytics teams along with external partners to conduct pre/post-campaign reporting and analysis, identifying trends and recommendations for optimization
  • Maintain a line of sight on the volume of work in the pipeline to assist Senior Manager in making effective use of time and resources
What you have to offer:

Qualifications
  • Proactive and solution driven with strong knowledge of digital channels and creative processes
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical team members is a must.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Web development, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, CMS and Analytics (strategy, requirements, implementation, validation, reporting) within multiple related platforms.
  • Familiarity working with CMS, such as AEM, WordPress or others.
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Tag Manager, Google Optimize, Google Data Studio and Google Analytics
  • Experience with Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Facebook Ads conversion pixel implementation
  • Familiarity with Information Architecture, UX/UI
Competencies / Skills / Attributes
  • 3+ years, experience with image optimization, JavaScript, and HTML
  • 3+ years of experience in web and responsive design , prefreab
  • Strong knowledge of CSS/SCSS
  • Basic understanding of React
  • Basic knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Basic knowledge of AODA/WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards and best practices
  • Basic understanding of different CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap/UIKit
  • Basic understanding of version control (GitHub/GitLab)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
