We are seeking a Specialist, Learning (Compliance & EDI) to join our Learning team. This opportunity can be located at any of our offices and is a 13-month contract!

The purpose of this role is to support the ongoing development and implementation of compliance and EDI learning projects and continuing professional development programs for all members of the Firm. This role also administratively supports the Firm\xe2\x80\x99s Pro Bono Committee.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance Training

  • Remain apprised of compliance training requirements in all offices and jurisdictions.
  • Maintain and execute on a compliance training strategy that encompases all legislatively required training, risk management related training and Firm policies and procedures training for exisiting Firm members and new hires.
  • Liaise with the General Counsel (\xe2\x80\x9cGC\xe2\x80\x9d), National Director, Talent Services and Chief Talent Officer (\xe2\x80\x9cCTO\xe2\x80\x9d) when changes to internal policies are made. Work with GC, National Director, Talent Services and Director, Learning & Pro Bono to determine best methods for delivering training and coordinate all related logistics, including room set-up and calendar invitations.
  • Working with subject matter experts, the Specialist, E-learning and other learning team members, design and develop the content (or redesign exisiting content), including the facilitators guide, any presentation materials and storyboards, for live intructor lead and elearning compliance programming when needed.
  • Maintain all LMS posted compliance programming, including responding to learners questions.
  • Manage all compliance vendor relations.
  • Maintain all compliance records in a centralized location.
  • Provide regular reporting to GC, CTO, National Director, Talent Services and Director, Learning & Pro Bono about compliance statistics.
EDI Programming
  • Working with the Director, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion and the Inclusion & Diversity Committee, determine best methods for delivering training and coordinate all related logistics, including vendor management, room set-up and invitations.
  • Utilizing previously recorded content, create elearning modules for just-in-time learning.
  • When needed, design and develop the content (or redesign exisiting content), including the facilitators guide, any presentation materials and storyboards, for live intructor lead and elearning EDI programming when needed.
  • Maintain all LMS posted EDI programming, including responding to learners questions.
  • Provide reporting to the Director, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, the Inclusion & Diversity Committee and the Director, Learning & Pro Bono when requested.
LMS & Online Programming
  • Act as a subject matter expert and consultant for the Firm\xe2\x80\x99s LMS system.
  • Ensure ongoing and current communication of compliance and EDI continuing professional development programs through the Learning Management System and other methods of communication.
Committee Administration and Events
  • Assist with firm pro bono projects by maintaining records and correspondence. Assist other committee-related correspondence and initiatives.
What you\'ll bring:
  • Degree in Adult Education, Human Resources or BAdmin and 5+ years in Learning and Development in a professional services firm.
  • Understand and exhibit knowledge and skills in learning and development in the professional services industries.
  • Working knowledge of project management principles.
  • Bilingualism an asset.
  • Required technical skills include: Learning Management Systems, Microsoft Office programs and HTML Code.
