Reporting directly to the Director, Internal Communications, you will be a trusted business partner who can provide a range of communications support to mobilize MLSE\xe2\x80\x99s employees around culture and strategy. You are someone who embraces, champions and understands that clear, engaging, and consistent communication plays a role in both organizational success and building a culture of inclusivity and belonging. Responsibilities:

  • Support the management of all corporate internal communications programs and initiatives including the internal intranet website, executive communications, sharing MLSE\xe2\x80\x99s business strategy, celebration & recognition communications and key internal partner activities.
  • Build and implement internal communication plans that support organizational priorities and internal partner initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with the external communications team, ensuring consistent messaging both internally and externally.
  • Coordinate the overall content and engagement strategy of MLSE\xe2\x80\x99s internal communications platform, Workplace from Meta, including acting as the community manager/regulator and the key liaison with Meta.
  • Provide key HR and business leadership communications that elevate the employee experience, including but not limited to employee engagement campaigns and surveys, equity, diversity and inclusion activities, celebration and recognition, organizational changes, health and safety updates, etc.
  • Work with our internal events\' agency and coordinate the content and design of all internal events including employee town halls, leadership conferences, employee appreciation night and service awards.
  • Guide and lead larger project teams and internal partner groups as required.


Qualifications

  • Professional experience in corporate communications, supporting internal communications crafting and launching communication plans and programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect organizational objectives with communications strategies.
  • Strong copy writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Integrity to act as a trusted advisor and business partner across all areas of the organization and with the ability to influence outcomes.
  • Strong experience in events management, working with various partners to deliver on objectives.
  • Passion for crafting an extraordinary employee experience and fostering a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion.
  • Engaging collaborator, experienced in delivering results in fast-paced work environments, while influencing others with or without direct authority.
  • Ability to run multiple projects end-to-end and deliver on tight timelines.
  • Solid understanding of how to communicate to diverse audience groups.
  • Expert skills in building presentations.
  • Experience and prioritization of centering equity in communication around organizational policies and practices.
  • Strong ability to be self-directed and build credibility as a proactive leader with a point of view and trusted business partner.
  • Standout colleague with outstanding collaborative and creative thinking skills.
  • Solutions-focused and self-motivated, with flexibility to support a 24/7 operation as needed.
  • Experience with community management and leading the Workplace from Meta internal communications platform considered a strong asset.
