HRIS Specialist
This permanent full-time position is an exceptional opportunity for a client focused, analytical thinker who has a passion and acumen for learning new technology and staying up to date on system changes. The Specialist is primarily accountable for the analysis and documentation of business processes, business requirements documentation, training manual documentation along with configuration of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and Workforce Software. You will be the lead on translating business requests into formal business requirements for configuration and will be responsible to ensure our systems are properly configured in accordance with legislation, collective agreements, internal polices and/or best practice. Key Responsibilities
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of how compensation, benefits, payroll, recruitment, onboarding and scheduling interrelate
  • Support incident/escalation processes to minimize system outage time
  • Participate in the systems implementation process by reviewing business requirements and processes
  • Developing test strategies and test cases, performing unit testing, and completing conversion activities
  • Provide critical business insights and thought leadership
  • Build strong relationships across the HR community and represent HR Operations at meetings both internally and externally with vendor partners
  • Administer system release testing, execute, and validate testing plans and user acceptance, ensure data integrity and system functionality; and provide technical HRIS support
  • Participate in Employee Central and Workforce Software system testing
  • Gathering business requirements to support ongoing system changes post-implementation
  • Development of training materials and delivery of end user training
  • Prepare detailed functional specifications for the development of custom reports, enhancements, interfaces, conversions, and forms
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Business Management or similar.
  • Time and Pay experience in a unionized environment
  • Use of IT tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow would be an asset
  • Excel \xe2\x80\x93 advanced level skills (Lookup Functions, Pivot Tables, advanced charting & Macros)
  • Microsoft Visio or similar process mapping tools
  • Intermediate knowledge of Human Resources: processes, principles, and practices
  • Experience implementing and/or upgrading an HR system (full lifecycle from requirements gathering to post-implementation support).
  • Ability to analyze data and apply critical thinking to resolve issues and suggest solutions and improvements
  • Experience investigating, analyzing, testing, and implementing system applications
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and in isolation
  • Ability to work within tight timelines with competing priorities
