Purpose of Role
You will be a key member of a dynamic and innovative group of lawyers, clerks and legal support staff, providing the highest level of service to our clients, while having the opportunity to cultivate your skills as part of our successful national Intellectual Property Group team, within Canada?s premier full-service law firm.

The key responsibilities of this role are:
Acts as primary contact for intake of new matters for the Intellectual Property team
Inputs new matters into the IP Practice Management system and dockets for relevant official deadlines
Reviews and assesses incoming correspondence for urgency and assigns priority
Acts as a team player within the Paraprofessional Services Group with overflow, urgent deadlines and back-up coverage
Assists with Paraprofessional related projects as assigned
Keeps up-to-date on changes in practice and procedural requirements
What you will bring to this role:
A minimum of 3 years? experience with relevant IP experience and knowledge
Paralegal, Law Clerk, or Legal Assistant Diploma an asset
Experience with IP docketing software
Knowledge of document management systems (iManage knowledge an asset), Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe, and Excel
Adaptable to dynamic priorities and deadlines, to best serve our clients? business goals
