As a Senior IP Counsel, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for engaging and securing patent license agreement with companies that are utilizing Signify\'s patented technologies.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

Identify potential licensees of a patent license program.

Assist and work with the reverse engineering team to investigate instances of possible patent infringement and prepare infringement analysis of products.

Contact, engage, draft and negotiate intellectual property license agreements with third parties.

Oversee outside counsel regarding enforcement actions and/or patent validity challenges.

Maintain thorough, up-to-date knowledge of IP law and related legal fields.

Your qualifications

JD or LLB in Law from an accredited Law School

Admission to practice law in at least one state in the US

5+ years of experience in a law firm or corporation performing patent prosecution, counseling or litigation

Admission to the USPTO (US Patent Trademark Office) a plus

Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or comparable degree is highly preferred but not required
